Adults
Christians in the New Testament enjoyed community—fellowship and friendship with one another. They cared for each other, encouraged each other, prayed together, supported one another, and served Jesus and His church together. They did the Christian life together—growing in God’s Word, building healthy relationships, and loving one another.
Jesus said it this way,
“A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.” (John 13:34-35)
ADULT BIBLE CLASSES
We typically have three to four adult classes from 9:15 to 10:00 on Sunday mornings before the Main Worship Service. These classes are designed to help you grow in grace and build strong Christian friendships. The topics being discussed in each class typically changes every thirteen weeks. Adult Bible Classes are designed to help you grow in grace and build strong Christian friendships.
SMALL GROUPS
We also have Adult Small Groups that meet every Wednesday at 11:00am or 7:00pm. These groups are roughly divided by age, to help make sure the content being covered and group discussion is applicable to your life stage. We have groups for those 18-30, 31-40, 41-50, and 51+ that meet at 7:00pm. We also have a group for 51+ that meets at 11:00am. These small groups are another great way for you to grow in your relationship with Jesus Christ, develop relationships with other people your age in the church, and discuss the lesson each week, and how it applies to your life.
SENIORS
Through the ministries of Good Shepherd Baptist Church mature adults will find meaningful friendships, enjoyable activities, and a network of care where you can continue to grow in your faith.
LADIES’ MINISTRY
Life is hard, and we want to be a help and an encouragement to you! Throughout the year we have several retreats, events, and activities specifically designed for Ladies. These will help you grow in your walk with Christ, encourage you in your spiritual and physical life, and give you a time of relaxation and refreshment.
MEN’S MINISTRY
The world is in great need for good men—godly men! Your family longs for loving leadership that flows from a Christ-like heart. Special Events and services are scheduled throughout the year to help build and strengthen our men in their relationship with Christ and their families.
Regardless of your gender, marital status, or age, you will find strength and encouragement through the ministries of Good Shepherd Baptist Church.
