Visiting Good Shepherd
Visiting any church for the very first time can be a tough experience. Well, we want to put you at ease. Your first visit to Good Shepherd will be refreshing, friendly, and enjoyable for your whole family. We want you to experience inspiring music, helpful teaching and preaching, friendly people, and a place where you feel welcome and “at home”! Here are a few answers to questions you may have, and what you can expect on your first visit.

We believe, worship is the act of loving and responding to God! Through the heart-warming, music and the clear, Bible teaching and preaching in our services, your heart will be inspired to love and to respond to God. Each week, families are strengthened, encouraged, and drawn closer to Him through these special times together. Each service is carefully planned and prayed over so that God may work in your life!

What to Expect
You can’t miss our growing campus just off of highway 67 on State Road 144. As you enter the main building, one of our greeters will meet you and direct you to the right classes and services. They can also answer any other questions you may have. Because of the way our building is set-up, we actually recommend parking in the far parking lot, on the right hand side as you come down the drive.

The main service begins with Christ-centered music, followed by a clear, helpful, and challenging Bible message from Pastor Sichting. This service is typically right around one hour in length. We also have children’s and adult Bible classes that you and your family are welcome to attend every Sunday morning from 9:15-10:00am. These classes are smaller group settings where you are invited to meet people, maybe enjoy some coffee and donuts, and hear a teaching lesson more directly applicable to your life-stage. These are a great way to grow in your relationship with Jesus Christ, and get to know more people at Good Shepherd.

Children
Where do I take my children?
Starting with our infant nursery, there is something special for every age child. At every service there are safe, clean, and highly staffed nurseries for children three years old and under. For the infants, mothers will receive a pager so that the nursery attendants can easily contact you if there is a need. Our nurseries are in our main building. For children four years old through sixth grade there are fun, friendly, and Bible-centered classes. These classes are staffed with trained, friendly, and well-qualified teachers and helpers who will make church exciting and memorable for your child. These classes (preschool-sixth grade) meet in our Kids’ Building. As you enter the property, this is the building that sits on the left hand side of the main drive. Drop-off and Check-in for these classes begins 15 minutes prior to every regularly scheduled service
Teens
What about my teens?
The teens meet together for a topical Bible lesson, geared specifically for their stage of life every Sunday morning at 9:15am. Wednesday nights the teens have a Bible Study, that meets in conjunction with our adult Small Groups (7:00pm). They also have fun group activities (camps, paintball, retreats, bowling, etc.) scheduled throughout the year to help build a deeper relationship to Christ, and lasting relationships among the students.
FAQ
How should I dress?
There is not a dress code at Good Shepherd Baptist Church for members or guests. Our ministry leaders and many of our church family dress in more traditional “Sunday” dress; however, our main goal is that you would feel welcome and comfortable on your visit here at Good Shepherd!
Am I expected to participate in the offering?
No. We don’t invite you to Good Shepherd Baptist Church for your offering. We want our service to be a gift to you. We hope you will find in this place a warm family spirit, truth from God’s Word, and a place where you can grow in God’s grace. Please don’t feel any obligation to participate in the offering as a guest.
